Moulin Rouge final du French Cancan
From back in the late 50s or early 60's I think. Too much male dancer, but otherwise a great nostalgic show. Nice dancing and costumes (those actually are stockings), but the bizarre plastic wigs detract from the intended effect.

Dickens Fair 2010: Le Cancan Bijou
As you may have heard: this year, San Francisco's Great Dickens Christmas Fair has been - like everything else! - scuttled due to the coronavirus. [gnashes teeth with fury]
Starting next week, I will be reposting links to my Dickens Fair photo galleries (2011-2017) on a daily basis, both here and on Facebook.
As an appetizer, here's a video from the 2010 run, featuring Le Cancan Bijou (yay!) and absoLUTELY featuring Vaudie "Va-Boom" Bristow (LOTS OF YAYS!).
This video was shot by Linda Mermaid (whose daughter Stefani Pelletier is also a Bijou alumnus, and the very first LCCB dancer I met that fateful first Saturday in the Cow Palace...).
