Countryon

A new performance by the Czech troupe Countryon.  Unfortunately, neither this video nor any of the others linked below, is in very high resolution.  But, they are of interest to complement the very nice photos of the troupe previously posted here and at Tumblr.

La Compagnia Italiana di Operette nel finale de La vedova allegra di F Lehar

The curtain calls from The Merry Widow as performed by La Compagnia Italiana di Operette.  It's only 360p but still nice.  I wish the Maxim's scene had been posted.

Шоу-балет Шоколад

A favorite Russian troupe, Шоу-балет Шоколад (Chocolate), has had a nice video posted to complement some outstanding previously-posted images.

Thai Cancan

Oriental cancan dancers seldom seem to get it right, either on costumes or the dance itself, but here's an exception from Thailand.  It is performed in, of all places, a public park with a general audience.

I wish the videographer had positioned herself closer to the action.

"Panning for Gold" on Instagram

I recall, at one point, Barbebleu was regularly sifting through Instagram to find new and exciting cancan pix.  However, using I-gram's search field only finds users with one or more "can's" in their name.  Which led me to wonder: was there an easy way to keyword-search for cancan pix?

As a matter of fact, there is!

WARNING: this will return a TON of pictures, but when did that ever stop us?

Here are some favorites that have been added to the "permanent collection:"

(And this isn't even counting the ones I merely favored...)

Happy sifting!

Канкан

("Real" cancan at 3:12 - bonus cancan in sailor costumes a the outset)

I've seen photos of this Russian troupe before, but I don't remember the name.

Split skirts and some camera shake, unfortunately, but many other redeeming features.
