Honey Bunnies

Some new or previously unposted photos and a video of the Honey Bunnies, the wonderful Czech troupe.  I'm pleased to see from the fairly recent video above that they have not forsaken their white panties.

These are from their Facebook page:

The annual white water kayaking event should be coming up soon, so there may be more photos of interest then.

Moulin Rouge -Best of France 2015 NYC

There are several videos of the Moulin Rouge dancers performing in Times Square last weekend.  Overall, I think this is the best of the bunch:

Vũ đoàn Number One

The Vũ đoàn Number One troupe of Ho Chi Minh City (Saigon for us old timers) performs in some unusual costumes - their skirts are split, but worn with the split in the back.  Two-tone knickers. Posted for its novelty.

Their Facebook page:

The Facebook page does not have any photos of the cancan, but they do post a fair number of performance photos, so if the video was recently filmed, then some may show up later.

Old Time Rock 'n Roll

A departure from the cancan, but not too awfully far.  Perhaps the 1950's-1960's equivalent. Fans of spins will like these.  The dancers are from Dance to the 60's, a Dutch group.

Some photos from their Facebook page:

Self description:

Dance to the 60's is a rock and roll foundation with a special focus on the tradional rock and roll.
We are a non commercial club with volunteers which gives the added advantage of low entrance fees.
We also give rock and roll demonstrations  which, thanks to several TV performances ,
has made us known countrywide.

KatieDanse is associated with Sakadanse as its trainer/choreographer.  She has had an extensive dance career as can be seen from her c.v. at the Facebook site below, including training by Mimi Valadie, dance captain at the Tabarin, Moulin Rouge and Folies Bergere.

Sakadanse

Sakadanse of Bourg d'Oisans, France has included a nice cancan in classic-style costumes in their repertoire in years past as shown in the low resolution videos below.  Sadly, there wasn't someone with a better camera around.  Also, it is perplexing that with all these videos, there don't seem to be many photos.  But see tomorrow's post.

Alain Turban (and, more importantly, Trn v oku) in Prague

I'd never heard of him either.  He's a french singer who had a "Montmartre" show in Prague.  But cheers to him for featuring not one, but two, cancan sequences in it.  They are both by Trn v oku, the Czech dance company well known to visitors to this site.   The first cancan has the dancers in "demure" costumes and the second in their regular attire.
