Dixie's Cancan Dancers

There is a new entrant to the Munich cancan scene, Dixie's Cancan Dancers.    The 720p video is of their premiere performance at the Fürstenfeld Wine Fest.  They have very nice classic style costumes, as you can see.  Hopefully we will see a lot more of them.

Their self-description;

"Munich based troupe of French Can Can Dancers. Part of the unique "Dixie's Vintage Pinup Dancers", trained at Dixie Dynamite's MUNICH SCHOOL OF BURLESQUE.

...

Dixie Dynamite is the founder, choreographer and teacher of Dixie's Cancan. She is head of the "MUNICH SCHOOL OF BURLESQUE", the burlesque pinup dancing section of Dixie's VINTAGE DANCE STUDIO in Munich-Neuhausen.

"Dixie's Cancan" is a division of "Dixie's Vintage Pinup Dancers", a dance troupe specialized in the elegant, energetic and often flirty dances of the jazz & swing era and a little before and after. The troupe is trained by Dixie Dynamite in her Vintage Dance Studio.

You know good dancers in or around Munich? We are seeking new showgirls to complete our show team!

 Our training time is Wednesday at 8:50 pm. Plus extra trainings before shows. Plus some weekend workshops.

You can book "Dixie's Cancan" with 2 to 10 dancers for your event.  Besides Cancan we perform several dances of the 1920s to 1960s: Burlesque, Vintage Pinup Dancing, Tap Dancing, Charleston & Clogging.  The length of our showcases is adapted to your needs from 5 minutes up to full-length shows.

If you are interested in our show ensemble please contact Silvia Plankl at: cancan@vintagedance.de
