Take Your Vitamins

A very nicely composed shot of the dancers of Paris Bell performing in Thailand.  This is from a site promoting B vitamins, and I don't know what the connection is.  For more non-cancan showgirl photos from the show see:

Djeb and Atelier de colombe

Two outstanding photos of different models posing in the same cancan costume.

The top photo is by French photographer and graphic designer Djeb who captures model Justine in a lakeside setting.  See his Facebook page for more great photos of Justine in various poses and Djeb's other work:

Djeb is affilated with touch-arts.com:

Atelier la colombe created the costume used in both photos.  The second photo is from their site:

Djeb and Atelier la colombe are both located in Strasbourg.  The model in the second photo is not identified.

CanCan Quadrille

As a matter of historical interest, this may be what the cancan looked like in its earliest incarnations.  Perhaps David Price can comment.

The lithograph is by Winslow Homer.  The video is of the dancers of l'association Carnet de Bals.

Pauline Reader Dancers - The Great Dorset Steam Fair

They're back and they're in black, which in my book isn't an improvement, but I think you'll agree that this is a nice video. It benefits from the outdoor lighting which helps with the black costuming.

Die lustige Witwe (1962)

Several full-length Merry Widows have been posted at You Tube.  This German movie from 1962 isn't the "The Merry Widow", but it does have a brief classically costumed cancan, wrapped around Peter Alexander hamming it up.  The cancan starts around 33:00.
