Small Stage Cancan

This unidentified ensemble of amply endowed dancers shows what's possible on a small stage.  I like the outfits too.  "Majorette" bonus thrown in at the end.

„O noapte furtunoasă” ("A Stormy Night")

This is a new one.  It apparently is a Romanian operetta or play, staged here with some nice classic style costumes by Musical Theatre "Nae Leonard" in Galati, Romania.  The production is based on a book by Ion Luca Caragiale from 1879.

These photos are from:

(with a review of the performance)

I had hoped to find a video of the cancan from this performance, but no luck.

There is this old video from 1943 that has a couple of cancanesque sequences in it at about 7:50 and 17:07:

Cancan Costume ala Russe - Light Blue

In her final appearance, our pretty model continues her cancan fashion show, this time in light blue.

The costume is for sale on this Russian market site:

The costume designer/seller (and perhaps the model?) is Maria Sumerkina (Мария Сумеркина). She doesn't confine herself to costumes, as can be seen at her store:

Linda Darnell - Hangover Square

Photos of Linda Darnell from "Hangover Square".  These were sourced from various Tumblr posts.  You can see these and a huge assortment of other non-cancan photos of her at these links:

I did not see a You Tube video from Hangover Square that included her dancing scene.

Another cancanesque pose - I am not sure if this came from a particular film or was just a cheescake publicity photo:

For another, better photo of her in this costume see:

Cancan Costume ala Russe - Yellow

A very attractive model demonstrates the possibilities afforded by a yellow cancan costume, exhibiting some style and humor as well as some views of the costume that you don't typically see at costume sites.

The costume is for sale on this Russian market site:
