K'Danse - Hoop Skirt Cancan 1

The French dance group, K'Danse, performs a really fine hoop skirt cancan. Ever since I saw a hoop-skirted performance in a prior video (http://clubccd.multiply.com/video/item/3/Hoop-Skirt-Cancan-), I've wanted to see more. The hoop skirts allow for some interesting skirt flipping maneuvers that are more difficult to achieve wth a regular skirt. The white lace-trimmed bloomers the dancers wear complement the look.

The video is divided into three parts due to Multiply's size restrictions.

Hoops-a-Daisy

Two images showing the possibilities and risks of hoop skirts.  The former is by pin-up artist Gil Elvgren.  The second is a photo of a cast member of "The King and I" evidently cooling off after a strenuous waltz.  I'm not sure about the heart on the seat of her panties.  I certainly don't remember seeing this view in the show.

Erin Go Cancan

Reprising an old favorite video in honor of St. Patrick's Day.  They may not be in traditional Irish dance costumes or even the more recent Riverdance variety, but they are bona fide Irish dancers.

This was performed at the Pigalle Concert in the National Concert Hall Dublin 25th August 2008.
