Welcome

Well, howdy there pardner!
Well, howdy there pardner!
Nice to see you round the ol' homestead again. Why dontcha sit down in that chair and order y'rself a bit of Texan hosp'tality. Cause that's what we specialize in here at Club CCD; the finest of entertainm'nt's this side of th' Great Mississippi. An' that's bar none, old timer!
Best to' note , however, that we'll expect you to be on your Sunday-Best behavior. That means no spittin', no cussin', no shootin' an' no foolin'. And anyone caught distressin' the ladies will be shown the door immediately if not sooner.
That said, the saloon is always open to respect'ble patrons, so feel free to pull up a chair, order a drink and wait for the show to begin. Take it from ol' Cactus Jack here, pard - it's sure t' be a doozy!

RULES

WELCOME TO CLUB CCD
PLEASE READ THIS

We'd like to welcome you to the new hub of our on-line cancan community. This group will supersede Cancan Dancing and is now the place for posting messages, pictures, links and so forth, just as Cancan Dancing was previously.

Participation is strongly encouraged. We would welcome your contributions of links, pictures, experiences, questions, suggestions, notices of upcoming performances, movie and TV reviews. etc.

However, we want to avoid some issues we had at Cancan Dancing, so we have come up with some guidelines that we would ask everyone to follow.

1.  Please do not post pictures that are likely to cause copyright or other problems. The preferred method of sharing cancan related images and other material is to post a message with a link to the website where the material is located. That worked well at CCD, and we would like to continue the practice here.

2.  Posting of photos requires approval of a manager. If you want to post a picture, go ahead and do the posting process, but a manager will have to approve it before it actually goes on the site.

3.  The types of pictures that are generally acceptable are:

  • Public domain artwork (Lautrec, Picasso, etc)
  • Public domain photography (old BW stuff)
  • Comic strip panels (Lucky Luke etc)
  • Movie posters, lobby cards playbills
  • Newspaper & magazine articles
  • Print media illustrations & advertisements
  • Amateur photography posted by the owner
4.  Examples of pictures that are verboten are:

  • Amateur performances (unless posted by the owner)
  • Fetish material of any kind
  • Hard core pornography of any kind
  • Any images of minors
  • Photographs edited for sexual purposes
  • Off topic material (totally unrelated to the cancan)

5.  Cardinal Rule: DO NOT use the forums or information gathered from the site to harass or annoy any other members or to make disparaging comments about them. This kind of activity will be grounds for banning the offending person from the group and will be STRICTLY enforced.

6.  Please keep the discussion on topic – the cancan.

7.  Spam will be deleted as soon as it is discovered. So will the spammer.
