Marika Oszvald in her prime

Do you remember the video posted some time ago featuring Marika Oszvald
in an Hungarian production of The Merry Widow? She was the somewhat
older, stocky, but very energetic Valencienne with the long black and
red striped bloomers who played it for the laughs. Here's the link to

Here's version featuring an even more energetic, svelter and very
attractive Ms. Oszvald in her prime. She makes her appearance at 3:20:

One can quibble a little about the costumes, but this is quite an
athletic and acrobatic cancan performance for the Valencienne character
by any standards. It's a shame the quality of the video, which dates
from 1984, isn't any better.

Ärzteball 2010, Wien, Mitternachtseinlage

They know how to do things in the grand style in Vienna. Here are some elablorately costumed dancers doing a nice performance, impeded by a male dancer who mainly gets in the way and lowers the curtain, so to speak, just when things have gotten fun. Even the klutz move right at the outset adds some charm to this.
