Here are a few more links I especially liked to brighten your weekend:
A reenactor and friends - you'll have to explore her various albums; the cancan pictures are scattered throughout. Be sure and use the Download Photo link to the right to get the full sized images.

Here is a very nice set of photos of Le Cancan Bijou at the Dickens Faire, courtesy of Raymond Van Tassel. Explore all the pages for more images. Be sure to move your cursor over the right side of each photo after you select it from the Index to get an opportunity to see an enlarged version:

ReplyDeleteHe may have them blocked, but, if you want to do a little work, you can still get them. The following technique works for Windows XP and Internet Explorer. I suspect there are similar things available for Vista and Mac. 1. Open your browser. Click on Tools and then Internet Options. Click on Delete Files to clear the Temporary Internet Files folder. Otherwise it may be too full. 2.In Flickr, click the thumbnail for the image you want to save and get the full Flickr image on the screen. 3. Then click on Settings and then View Files. This will open up your Temporary Internet Files folder. It should be in the "Details" view already, but if not click View and choose Details. 4. Now look for the most recently added reasonably large JPEG file. Ignore the small JPEGs; they are thumbnails. 5. Drag the file to your desktop or another folder where you keep your cancan images. Click on the file to open it. 6. Advanced: Instead of doing this one at a time, you can move a group of JPEGs by successively opening the full Flickr images. The JPEGs will appear in the Temporary Internet Files folder. Then you can sort by file size and find the large JPEGs. Then highlight the ones you want and drag the group of selected files over to the destination. By the way a version of this technique also works for YouTube and other videos. Barbebleu
ReplyDeleteLooking back I see the photos you want are on Smugmug instead of Flickr. The same technique should work there too.
