Alex-Andrit (шоу Александрит)

Alex-Andrit again.  I made an "overdressed" comment on my prior posting, but, hey, I take it back now.

The first of this couplet of photos, which are screen caps from the slide show video below, reminds me of the popular teasing pose of Belle Epoque dancers who spread their skirts out for the camera causing everyone who has seen them to think to himself, "if only they'd taken it from the other side." Alex-Andrit at last fulfills our wish with this spectacular from-the-back pose to complement the obverse.

I'll post some additional captures in the next post.

Over-Dressed?

The Ukrainian Show Ballet troupe, Alex-Andrit, performs in this You Tube video.  I generally favor fancy costumes over plain ones, but it can be overdone.

See more about Alex-Andrit at the Art Communication site:

Moulin Rouge Does Mumbai

A set of Moulin Rouge dancers did an Indian tour, including a stop at the Sofitel in Mumbai where these photos were taken.  We've all seen the standard publicity photos over and over, but these at least show some different takes on the performance.

See the entire set at Sofitel Mubai BKC's Facebook page:

Mimi Pinson - Old and New

New:

Old:

The site of the Mimi Pinson troupe has been updated.  Things change, but the essence remains.  Some old favorite, but small, photos have disappeared.  There are some new things to see, and also a few old favorites that have been kept, including those above.

The site is:

http://www.mimipinson.com/

(I had hoped there might be Facebook page, but I do not see one.)

At the revised site, there is also a link to video that, while not shot from the best angle, is still worth watching:
