Modesty overdone. Chorus. not dancers.
Unfortunately, the venue and company are not given.

One of the great...well, "disappointments" of my cancan fixation is this: there are surprisingly few images - and even less video evidence - of Anthony Tudor's ballet "Offenbach in the Underworld."
(Might have something to do with the fact that Tudor basically took the plot of Leonid Massine's "Gaite Parisienne" and filed the serial numbers off... 😉 Which, of course, didn't stop me from attending a performance of Tudor's ballet some years ago in NYC.)
So imagine my delight in finding the above image, courtesy of Japan's Star Dancers Ballet, from their 2000 performance of "Offenbach." It's not only the largest image available to date, but also one of the best pictures.
You're welcome.

From French television. The clip is undated, though not recent, and the troupe is not identified other than as Troupe La vie Parisienne. The video quality is not too bad, and the performance is spirited, although the dancers' appearances are scattered. I liked the classically flavored costumes. Watch for the spectacular finish.

Club CCD Album 2:
BBSome postcards I haven't come across before. The young ladies are well covered in the fashions of the day, with one glaring exception.
The illustrator is Reyme
