Club CCD's photo collection is hosted on Picasaweb pages that can be accessed from the links that are listed on the "Photo Albums" page of the Club CCD Blog (see that link under "Pages" to the right of the Club CCD home screen).  In addition to photos on various topics, these include photos that have been posted in daily postings at Club CCD (plus others that from the same groups that were not posted).  I was collecting these in quarterly and then monthly albums linked from the Photo Albums page, but it has proven to be too much trouble to try to assemble all the photos in monthly folders.

Karneval - La Vita - Schwaben Weiss Blau

The cancan is alive and well at karneval time.  A Swabian cancan performed by the troupe La Vita at a celebration by Schwaben Weiss Blau in Memmingen, Bavaria.

I wasn't able to find a web page for the dance troupe or the karneval club.  Perhaps someone will have better luck.

Le Cancan Bijou at the Edwardian Ball 2016

Le Cancan Bijou performs at their other standing engagement - the Edwardian Ball.  The performance is more akin to the on-the-floor routine in "French Cancan" than to a regular stage show. This is an extended performance with standard and not so standard musical accompaniment.  As always, a great show.

Gina Lollobrigida - La Donna più bella del Mondo (1955)

A clip from the film La Donna più bella del Mondo (1955) (aka Beautiful, but Dangerous) has resurfaced courtesy of Michael Fox at You Tube.  Gina Lollobrigida does a sort of split skirt cancan.  Watch it not for the dancing per se but to see the very sexy Lollo waving her skirts and showing off some relatively hi-cut panties (considering the time period).

Le Diamant Bleu

Continuing with shows featured on It's Showtime, Le Diamant Bleu is a show featuring Begonia, a drag performer of Amazonian proportions, but it also has a troupe of female cancan dancers as shown above.
