Best Time Ever

So the other day, while scanning Twitter for new cancan pictures, the following image/link popped up in my timeline:

FYI, that's Nicole Scherzinger, one-time frontwoman for the Pussycat Dolls burlesque/girl-pop group.

Intrigued, I did some research - and discovered that "Best Time Ever" is a live TV variety show concocted by and starring Neil Patrick Harris.  The backstage shot was from the sixth episode, which featured an end-of-show musical sketch set in a Western saloon - replete with barroom brawl and singing by musical guest Reba McIntyre.

As you can see from the following screencaps, the cancan included in the skit was brief and otherwise nothing special, although Ms. PCD got a couple of impressive kicks in.

This video is from 1975, and the quality is only 360p, but the performance is a very nice one.  The professionalism and style of the dancers suggests that this might be the Fernsehballett performing the cancan.  The dancers are wearing some interesting costumes - one bloomer leg up with stocking showing, and one leg down.  There is a teaser at 0:32, and the real performance starts at 10:40.

Dance Like an Egyptian

Bless her heart!  She's back yet again!  The indefatigable Sonia of Dance Like an Egyptian in another voluptuous cancan.

She hasn't chosen the best costume for the purpose, but the video has its moments.

Oddly, there are no photos of Sonia en cancan at her sites - they are all about belly dance. The above photo is the closest I can find.
