Who's That Cancan Girl?

So you might recall that, when the New Year was but two days old (i.e. January 2nd), our fair host Barbeblue posted the seventeenth installment of his Iconosquare Collection of cancan pics on Instagram:

Don't know about the rest of you, but the second-to-last picture - of a redheaded cancaneuse executing a picture-perfect port d'armes - definitely got Le Flatline's attention:

Having said that, I promptly thought: Are there any other pix of this supple ginger to be had?  And then proceeded to grind through several months of "cancan"-tagged Iconosquare images...and not only found the original, from the Instagram account of one "lizayw", but also this pic:

Okay, so far, so good.

Now the serendipity rears its not-so-ugly head.  Over on Facebook, dancer/choreographer Nadège Maruta has been busy plugging her French-language history of Our Favorite Dance, "L'Incroyable Histoire du Cancan" with print reviews, book signings, and live dance demonstrations - which, by a funny coincidence, can be seen right here - and...

Well, whattaya know?  Our redheaded high-kicker is also apparently a member of Mlle. Maruta's troupe!

I think it's safe to say that Nadège has good taste in dancers, no?
