La Vedova Allegra - Compagnia Italiana di Operette

Compagnia Italiana di Operette of Milan in an excellent video of their production of The Merry Widow at Teatro Nuovo - Milano.  Happily, the show is a staple of their repertoire, and they do not disappoint.

La Vedova Allegra, completa, ( Die Lustige Witwe) di Franz Lehár - Links

Magnifico!

A performance of the complete La Vedova Allegra (The Merry Widow) by Compagnia Italiana di Operette with a great cancan.  I've posted photos and excerpts of their Maxim's scene before, but this video has the full scene.

It has all the elements - good dancing, pretty girls, some humor and just the right costuming from my perspective.

The fun starts about 1:51:45, but there are some interesting moments prior to that at 1:48:48and a finale at 2:04:07.

And the operetta's not over until the fat lady dances.

Enjoy.

La Compagnia Italiana di Operette nel finale de La vedova allegra di F Lehar

The curtain calls from The Merry Widow as performed by La Compagnia Italiana di Operette.  It's only 360p but still nice.  I wish the Maxim's scene had been posted.
