Whoopee! Again

Re: Antoine's post at Cancan Favorites concerning French Fling at Edinburgh's Vintage Grassmarket Fair, here is another I found at Instagram.

I am rather partial to their older style costumes (see below), which were close to perfection so far as I am concerned.  I guess working a tartan motif into the petticoats goes with them being Scottish lasses.   Still very nice to behold.

The Good Old Days - New Years Eve 1978 - The Lido Can Can Girls

A bit of nostalgia of special interest to our UK members - The Good Old Days New Year's Eve show from 1978.

The dancers are called The Lido Can Can Girls, and the choreographer is Doreen Hermitage.  Penny Rigden is mentioned in the credits too.

The cancan starts at about 3:00.

Baletní škola Ivany Bouší

Some newer photos of the dancers of Baletní škola Ivany Bouší of Příbram in the Czech Republic. They include a cancan in their repertoire.  I wasn't able to locate a video.

Académie Chorégraphique de Moulins - One for the Classicists

Académie Chorégraphique de Moulins is a longtime favorite for obvious reasons.  There is a new set of photos on Facebook in which they revert back to their classic style costumes after ventruring into red and black territory.  Be sure to see the prior posts below for some additional nice photos.

Champagne Galop

Re: "Lovely solo royal flash at the end" posted by TT at Cancan Favorites:

Another video posted by Angélique Lezin, one of the musicians accompaning the dancers,  I think,  I believe it is the same unnamed dance troupe performing, but in different costumes.
